I’ve been wanting to switch over to a more natural skincare routine for months now, but I’ve been so overwhelmed by all the different options out there! My past experience with natural beauty products has been that either the product doesn’t really work, or it’s way too expensive. But, after a few months of doing research and testing natural beauty products, I’ve finally found a natural beauty routine that I absolutely love. It feels so amazing to finally be putting GOOD things on my skin, not just icky toxins and chemicals. If you’re looking to get into a more natural beauty routine, then keep reading for some great and affordable skincare + makeup options!

Tom’s Deodorant– full disclosure, I found Tom’s Apricot deodorant in Walmart last September and when I tried it, I was not a fan at all because it didn’t seem to work or last throughout the day like normal deodorant does. But a few months later I decided to give their long-lasting lavender scent a try, and I ended up really liking that scent! First off, it smells ahmazing, and it also lasts just as long as the Dove deodorant I was previously using.
Dr. Teals Body Lotion- Dr. Teal’s is my absolute favorite lotion! It’s made with essential oils, cocoa butter, shea butter, and other good things! They have different lotions for different purposes (soothing, rebalancing, etc). AND they actually work! This lotion lasts me 4x longer than the lotions I used to use.
Avalon Organics Shaving Cream- This is one of the newest products I’ve started using, and so far it’s been good. This product is completely organic and uses lots of aloe and flower extracts. Lavender is my go-to scent in everything natural beauty because not only does it smell super good, but lavender also helps to calm and soothe skin irritation, which is something I struggle with a lot. My legs usually get super irritated right after I shave, but they haven’t since I started using this shaving cream.
Young Living Genesis Hand and Body Lotion– This lotion was gifted to me and probably not something I would’ve ever bought myself because of how pricey it is, but if you want a lotion that’s so good for you that you could literally eat it, this is the one! 🙂 It is great for super irritated skin and smells super good as well. Young living has a full line of skincare, lotions, and makeup products that I would definitely consider looking into!
If you can’t tell, I’m pretty obsessed with Burt’s Bee’s 😉 Trusted and relatively affordable, Burt’s Bees is pretty much my go-to for all things skincare (and now makeup as well!)
Burt’s Bee’s Natural Acne Solutions 3 Step Acne Treatment:
I usually have pretty good skin, but I’ve been dealing with a hormone imbalance that has been causing some serious acne breakouts lately. This 3 step treatment has been a lifesaver!
- Natural Acne Solutions Pore Refining Scrub
- Natural Acne Solutions Daily Moisturizing Lotion
- Natural Acne Solutions Targeted Spot Treatment
Burt’s Bees Soap Bark and Chamomile Deep Cleansing Cream – this is what I use every night when I am not dealing with severe acne breakouts. It’s a great face wash to keep your skin clear and healthy, and to get rid of stubborn blackheads clogging up your pores.
Burt’s Bees Rosewater Toner- Rosewater works as an amazing toner and helps get rid of acne and create clear, even skin. I’ve tried rosewater toner from a few different brands, but Burt’s Bees has been my favorite so far!
Burt’s Bees Coconut and Pear Lip Balm- I’ve never liked Burt’s Bees original lip balm because, for some weird reason, it dried my lips out completely. But their coconut and pear flavor is the best lip balm I have ever used! It’s super soothing and moisturizing, and I wear it 24/7 in the winter.
Burt’s Bees Makeup:
I actually haven’t made the switch to a 100% natural makeup routine yet. What I am doing currently is using natural makeup for everything that touches my skin directly (both liquid and powder foundation, concealer, brow pencil, and lipsticks). I’m still using CoverGirl blush, mascara, and highlightor, but I’ll probably make the switch for those soon. For now, here are the natural makeup products I am loving:
Burt’s Bees Goodness Glows Liquid Foundation- Loving this stuff- it feels super lightweight and good on my skin, and it’s the first concealer I’ve used that doesn’t feel like it’s clogging up my pores! I’m super pale, but they have a wide variety of shades and their lightest one works on my skin.
Burt’s Bees 100% Natural Mattifying Powder Foundation- I use two shades of this, one as my normal powder foundation (which I use on days when I don’t want to take the time to apply liquid foundation), and then I use a shade darker as a bronzer.
Burt’s Bees Brow Pencil- I actually haven’t tried this yet, but I’ve loved everything else I’ve gotten from Burt’s Bees so I’m excited to give this a try as well! 🙂
That’s all for now, but I’ll make sure to continue keeping y’all updated as I find new products!
Lots of love,
