Can anyone actually believe it’s August already? Between graduating, moving, and starting new jobs, our summer has flown by. We’re definitely excited for fall, but we’re also wondering where the summer went and realizing that we totally missed out on all the beach days, camping trips, and bonfires with friends this year. However, the summer isn’t over just yet, and we’re determined to make the most of these last couple of weeks, including at least ONE pool day haha.

August Favorites

Home:

One of the things we’ll be working on a lot over the next couple of months is designing and furnishing our new apartment. We recently found a sofa that we’re in love with from Target, and we can’t wait to get it! It should be in our apartment by the end of August. We weren’t able to get a picture for this post, but you can check out the sofa using the link below.

Style:

Since we’ve been working a lot more now that we’re out of school, our style has been pretty casual-professional (is that a thing? haha). Here are our current style favorites for him & her:

Beauty:

We’ve both been in love with TRESemmé even more than usual lately. Here’s what we use for shampoo + conditioner:

For Her*

* If you have curly hair, than you NEED to be using this stuff! Since I started using it, my curls have looked 10x better and I barely need to use anything else on my hair after I shower.

Food & Drink:

We started making Pasta Primavera towards the end of July, and we’ve literally had it 3+ times each week since then. Here’s a link to the recipe from food network.com. The great thing about this recipe is that you can switch things up and use whatever vegetables you want. We usually use tomatoes, zucchini, and onion, and do sharp cheddar cheese on top instead of parmesan. We’ve also started using Banza noodles. They are gluten free, made from chickpeas, and have 25 grams of protein and 13 grams of fiber. So yummy and good for you too!

We don’t drink much soda but lately we’ve been really liking Maine Root sodas. They come in a glass bottle and seriously just taste so much better than regular soda! Tristan loves the Ginger Brew, and I’ve been enjoying their Root Beer.

Coffee:

Because we’re baristas, we have to have a separate section to talk about coffee haha. Our favorite drink lately has been the Miel. It’s a latte with honey and cinnamon in it and it’s so good. Give it a try the next time you visit your local coffeeshop and let us know what you think! We also love our iced coffee in the summer, and Dogwood Cold Brew is what we’ve been living off lately.

Blogging:

We always love learning how we can improve as bloggers and creatives. We recently started listening to The Influencer Podcast by Julie Solomon and it’s been a game changer! She’s constantly interviewing different professionals from so many aspects of the influencer industry, and there are so many great takeaways from each episode. If you’re looking to grow as a blogger or entrepreneur, this is a great place to start.

That’s it for this month! What are some things you’ve been loving lately? We’d love to hear about them in the comments 🙂

Lots of love,

The Sagastume’s
